      Books that beginnings readers can actually read and enjoy are very hard to find – which you know if you’ve ever hunted in your library. That’s why I love sharing these free sets to get our earliest readers loving books! Each book gives your child the opportunity to do several things: Review previously learned sight words; Learn new sight.     For some emerging readers, the thought of reading a chapter book can seem daunting and overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be scary! I have put together a list of some of our favorite early reading chapter books, all of which have larger font sizes, lots of illustrations, and engaging action-packed storylines to keep young readers interested. Just pick up the first book and start reading with your child/students. Age: 4 - 7 years old. If a child struggles with letter recognition, use our Alphabetti books to help resolve this.

Early readers (also known by parents as “beginning readers,” “emerging readers,” “easy readers” or, quite simply “kindergarten books,” all of which are used interchangeably here and elsewhere) have some pretty distinct characteristics.
